Good News For the Windows 11 Users | Android Gaming In Windows Getting A Big Update







American Tech Giant Microsoft rolled out a new Windows 11 Feature to insiders, and the package also included a new version of the Windows Subsystem for Android. It is heavily focused on mobile gaming performance, as the changelog revealed compatibility for gamepads, joysticks, and some gestures more common with smartphones and tablets.What’s new:

  1. The new suite of shims is available to toggle in the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app which enables better experiences in several apps

  2. Compatibility for games with joysticks (mapped to WASD)

  3. Compatibility for gamepad in games

  4. Compatibility for aiming in games with arrow keys

  5. Compatibility for sliding in games with arrow keys

  6. Scrolling improvements

  7. Networking improvements

  8. Android minimum window size defaulted to 220dp

  9. Improved dialog when unsupported VPN is detected

  10. New toggle to view/save diagnostic data in the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app

  11. Security updates

  12. General reliability fixes, including improvements to diagnostic sizes

  13. Graphics improvements

The update (version 2206.40000.15.0) is available only to testers in the United States. The Subsystem for the Android platform allows the emulation of mobile applications without the need for third-party software. It can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store on any Windows 11 device, but so far titles were only playable with touch support.
