Bullet Train Deal Likely During PM's Japan Visit

New Delhi: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Japan, India may get the opportunity to procure earthquake-safe E10 bullet trains. Japan itself will launch these trains in 2030. The Prime Ministers of both countries are expected to discuss the procurement of these modern trains for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The specialty of the E10 trains is that they can avoid derailment during earthquakes and can also be operated driverless in the future.
