Noida: 76-Year-Old Woman Loses ₹43.7 Lakh to Cyber Frauds

Noida: A 76-year-old woman residing in Noida has become a victim of cyber fraud, losing ₹43.7 lakh. The fraudsters called the woman pretending to be officials from a telecom company and told her that her SIM card would be blocked. On the pretext of keeping the SIM active, the scammers convinced the woman to download an app and make some small payments. During this process, they gained access to her phone and withdrew lakhs of rupees from her account. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
