New Delhi: The central government's new online gaming law has faced its first legal challenge. Online gaming company A23 has filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court against this law. The government recently banned all online games involving real money, after which many major companies like Dream11 have shut down their real-money gaming services. A23 has stated in its petition that this law is criminalizing skill-based games like rummy and poker, which is unconstitutional.
